⚙️ How It Works
- Opening (Forward Flow): The valve contains a ball that rests on a seat with a single through hole. The ball has a slightly larger diameter than the hole. When the pressure behind the seat (inlet) exceeds the pressure above the ball (outlet), the liquid flow pushes the ball off the seat, allowing the liquid to flow through the valve.
- Closing (Backflow Prevention): If the pressure above the ball (outlet) exceeds the pressure below the seat (inlet), the ball is forced back to rest precisely in the PTFE seat, forming a tight seal that immediately prevents backflow.
- Self-Cleaning: During operation, the ball typically rotates as the liquid flows past it. This rotation prevents debris from settling on the ball or seat, making the valve inherently self-cleaning and reducing maintenance frequency.
