Thermostatic Shower Control Valve (Anti-Scald Safety)
This Thermostatic Shower Control Valve is engineered to deliver a consistent, safe, and comfortable showering experience by automatically regulating water temperature. Its highly responsive memory alloy sensor and essential safety features make it ideal for protecting vulnerable users like children and the elderly.
⭐ Key Operational Features
Instant Constant Temperature: Simply open the valve to immediately receive water at the last set constant temperature.
Safety Temperature Lock: To adjust the temperature above the safety limit (usually 38°C), you must press and hold the red safety button while slowly turning the control knob counter-clockwise. This slow adjustment is designed to prevent discomfort or injury from a sudden rise in temperature.
Adjustable Range: The valve can regulate the output temperature within a range of 25°C to 55°C.
Easy Installation: Designed for simple setup; just connect the cold and hot water pipes, and the valve automatically begins regulating the temperature.
💡 Advanced Thermostatic Principle
The core of the valve features a highly sensitive memory alloy spiral temperature sensor (probe):
Sensing and Actuation: The probe works by rapidly expanding or contracting in response to temperature changes.
Automatic Mixing: This physical movement directly and instantly controls the flow rate of the cold and hot water inlets, ensuring the mixed outlet temperature continuously matches the temperature set by the user.
Pressure/Temperature Compensation: If the supply pressure or temperature of either the cold or hot water changes during the shower, the valve instantly and automatically compensates, maintaining a consistent output temperature.
🛡️ Critical Safety and System Protection
Instant Auto Shut-off: If the cold or hot water single supply line fails/is cut off during the shower, the valve automatically and instantly stops the water flow. This prevents:
Scalding: If the cold supply fails.
Chilling/Discomfort: If the hot supply fails.
Anti-Cross Flow (Internal Check Valves): The cold and hot water inlets are equipped with integrated check valves (non-return valves). This essential feature:
Effectively prevents cold and hot water from cross-connecting within the valve.
Prevents cold water from flowing back into systems like solar water heaters, which could otherwise lead to an undesirable drainage effect.
Due to its enhanced safety features, this valve is highly recommended for residential bathrooms and assisted living facilities.
