Refinery High-Pressure, High-Temperature Gate Valve (WC9PSB with F22 Bypass)
This product is a highly specialized Pressure Seal Bonnet (PSB) Gate Valve constructed from WC9 (Chromium-Molybdenum Alloy Steel), specifically engineered for severe high-pressure, high-temperature service in Refineries and power generation facilities.
The inclusion of an F22 Bypass and the PSB design addresses the challenges of operating and maintaining large isolation valves under extreme thermal and pressure conditions.

💡 Core Design Advantages
Pressure Seal Bonnet (PSB):
High-Pressure Integrity: The PSB uses internal pressure to create the seal between the body and the bonnet. The seal tightens as the internal pressure increases, making it superior to conventional bolted bonnets in high-pressure steam and high-temperature hydrocarbon services (typically CL 900 and above).
WC9 Chromium-Molybdenum Steel:
Thermal and Creep Resistance: WC9 is a 2.25% Cr – 1% Mo alloy steel specifically designed for continuous operation at high temperatures (up to 600°C or more) without losing strength (creep resistance), crucial for refinery hydrotreating or cracking units.
F22 Bypass System:
Ease of Operation: The bypass valve (F22 material for strength) is installed across the gate valve’s ports. Before opening a large, high-pressure gate valve, the bypass is opened to equalize the pressure across the wedge. This drastically reduces the force (torque) required to lift the wedge, protecting the stem and seat surfaces.
Optimized Flow: As a gate valve, it provides minimal pressure drop when fully open and tight shut-off when fully closed, and is generally resistant to contaminant accumulation.
🛠️ Other Key Features
Stem: OS&Y (Outside Screw and Yoke) for visible position indication.
Wedge: Elastic or Solid wedge with full guidance.
Actuation: Suitable for Bevel Gear Operation (umbrella gear) or automated actuators due to the high operating forces involved.
Seat Rings: Welded-in or replaceable seat rings available, typically hard-faced (e.g., Stellite) for wear resistance.
