Body Coating: Fusion Bonded Epoxy (FBE) – Drinking Water Safe
Engineered for Pure Water and Zero-Leakage Reliability
Traditional metal-seated gate valves have a major flaw in water systems: the bottom “groove” or “pit” required for the wedge to seat often collects sand, stones, and sediment, leading to seal failure.
Our Resilient Wedge Gate Valve solves this with a Flat-Bottom Design. The valve body is as smooth as a pipe, and the seal is achieved by the compression of a high-grade rubber-encapsulated wedge against the smooth valve floor.
Core Advantages:
100% Bubble-Tight Sealing: The high-quality EPDM encapsulation ensures zero leakage even at low pressure.
Self-Cleaning Flat Bottom: No groove at the bottom means no sediment buildup, ensuring a clear flow path and long service life.
Corrosion Resistance: Fully coated with Fusion Bonded Epoxy (FBE) both internally and externally, preventing rust and ensuring drinking water safety.
Lightweight & High Strength: Constructed from high-grade Ductile Iron, offering superior strength-to-weight ratio compared to old cast iron valves.
Key Design Features
EPDM Fully Encapsulated Wedge: The ductile iron wedge is fully bonded with vulcanized EPDM rubber, providing excellent memory and resistance to chemical attack.
Replaceable O-Rings: The stem sealing system uses multiple O-rings that can be replaced under full pressure (in the fully open position), minimizing maintenance downtime.
Drinking Water Certified: All internal materials and coatings are non-toxic and compliant with WRAS, NSF, or ACS standards.
Flexible Operation: Available with a handwheel, square operating nut (for underground T-key use), or electric/pneumatic actuators.

Fire Protection (UL/FM): Essential for fire mains and sprinkler systems (often with Rising Stem/OS&Y).
Irrigation & HVAC: Efficient isolation for agricultural and commercial cooling systems.
Compliant with: AWWA C515, DIN EN 1171, API 600 (modified), and ISO 7259.
Resilient Wedge Gate Valve: Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Can this valve be used for hot steam?
A: No. Resilient wedge valves use rubber seals (EPDM/NBR) typically rated up to 70°C-120°C. For steam, please refer to our Metal Seated Gate Valve section.
Q: What is the benefit of Ductile Iron over Cast Iron?
A: Ductile Iron is much more resilient to “water hammer” and ground movement, making it the only choice for modern underground infrastructure.
