A Post Indicator Valve (PIV) Assembly is a critical component of high-reliability fire protection systems. It consists of an NRS Gate Valve buried underground and a Vertical Indicator Post that extends above ground. A: No. It must be used with a Non-Rising Stem (NRS) Gate Valve that has a matching flange plate to support the indicator post.
